How to Replace a Window Motor and Window Regulator on a Subaru Impreza?

First, pop the door trim panel and the plastic watershield. Take out the door window glass. Remove the electrical connector from the window regulator motor. For 2007 and earlier models, simply try the following steps: The rear sash mounting nuts at the top and bottom part of the door need to be loosened, then, you may take off the sash. Bolt off the regulator mounting fasteners. Slide the regulator assembly through the service aperture and take the assembly out of the door. Take out three screws connecting the motor to the regulator and unbolt the motor from the regulators. Regarding installation, it is the complete opposite of removal. On 2008 and later models, you need to unscrew the regulator mounting bolts. Slide the regulator assembly through the service hole and take it out of the door. Lower the regulator assembly through the service hole. Three motor to regulator fasteners need to be unbolted and this will disengage the motor from the regulator assembly. Removal is the opposite of installation.
