    How do you remove the door handle and lock cylinder for the 2004 Subaru Impreza? Posted by Customer

    To remove the door handle and lock cylinder, remove the screw cover from the end of the door, then loosen the Torx bit through the hole. Detach the rod clamp from the handle and lock cylinder and pull the rods out from the handle and lock cylinder. Remove the lock cylinder, then move the handle towards the rear of the door while pulling the front of the handle outwards. Remove the outer side spacer from the outside of the door. Working through the opening in the inside of the door, remove the Torx bit from the front of the handle frame, then remove the handle assembly from the inside. Installation is the reverse of removal.

    Detach the actuating rods or cables between the inside door handle and the latch assembly, then remove the door handle retaining screw(s). Pull the handle free from the door and remove it from the vehicle. Installation is the reverse of removal.
