All models are fitted with an Airbag which is scientifically termed as the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), to cushion the impact and thus minimize severe injury to the driver and the front seat passenger especially in a head-on/frontal impact. The Air Bag Control Module for Subaru Forester is responsible for deploying the air bags during a collision. This component is also known as the inflator or the air bag controller.
