Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. If the vehicle is equipped with a tilt steering column, lower the column to its lowest position. Remove the instrument cluster trim bezel. Detach the instrument cluster assembly by removing the mounting screws, noting that the number and location of the screws may vary by model, and then pull the instrument cluster out of the instrument panel. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the backside of the instrument cluster by locating the release tabs, depressing them, and unplugging the connectors, keeping in mind that not all release tabs are the same type or in the same location on all cluster connectors, then carefully remove the cluster. Installation is the reverse of removal.
