Next, remove the retaining bolts at both ends of the support strut and detach it from the vehicle by unscrewing the lower end of the liftgate strut from the body and then detaching the upper end from the liftgate, ensuring not to pry the spherical bearings loose as they cannot be removed that way. Finally, installation is the reverse of the removal process.
