Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. On manual transaxle models, remove the shift lever knob. Note: It is not absolutely necessary, but it may be helpful to remove one or both front seats to gain complete access to the center console. 2007 and earlier models Remove the center console front trim cover fasteners from the upper corners, then pry up the cover and disconnect the electrical connectors. Use a trim tool to disengage the clips from the side trim panels and remove the side trim panels.Remove the console fasteners and remove the console from the vehicle.  Remove the remaining center console fasteners in front of and behind the shifter.  Open the armrest, remove the felt liner at the bottom of the console, and remove the screws.Lift the center console up, disconnect any electrical connectors, and remove the console. Installation is the reverse of removal. 2008 and later models ,Carefully pull the parking brake lever boot up and around the lever, then remove the console retaining screw. Open the armrest, then remove the rear section console mounting fasteners. Pry up and out on the rear section trim, disconnect any electrical connectors, and remove the console. Using a trim tool, carefully pry up the trim piece surrounding the shift lever and remove the trim piece from the console.  Remove the center console side panel fasteners and remove the panels. Installation is the reverse of removal.
