How to remove and install a fender on a Subaru Impreza?

The front wheel lug nuts should be loosened and the vehicle raised such that it is securely supported on jackstands. Next, remove the wheel. Take off the inner fender splash shield from the wheel housings. Cowl side panel at the fender must be removed if it is a 2008 model or later one. Also, take away this part, the bumper cover in front of car. Open your front door and remove fender corner fasteners too. Step down to lower sill level and release all side sill spoiler fasteners along its perimeter. For headlight housing removal on 2008 models and beyond, this step is necessary also . To get rid of these pieces of insulations, start by taking out lower fender fasteners. Fender mounting bolts should be taken off too. This note applies to some models which have a fender trim panel that must be carefully pried off and removed so as to allow access to those mounting bolts. Afterward, detach the fender but make sure another person holds it from behind as it is lifted up so as not to damage surrounding body parts when it is pulled out from there . Installation is the reverse of removal.
