A direct cable link between the Throttle Body and accelerator pedal is permitted by the airflow drive. Alternatively, an electronic throttle control may be applied. - Q: How to Remove and Replace the Throttle Body on Subaru Impreza?A:Disconnect the negative battery terminal and remove the air filter housing and inlet tube. Detach the accelerator and cruise control cables from the throttle body, and disconnect the air bypass hose and electrical connectors from the IAC solenoid valve and TP sensor.
