How to replace the brake light switch and adjust the brake pedal height and freeplay on Subaru Legacy?

To the right of brake pedal at the top near there, separate electrical connector from it. After you have taken off nut which is closest to and fitted on lastly, remove the switch itself. Now get a new one by twisting it until the button is forcefully drawn inwards and only touching the stopper's edge. Check that the level or free play of such pedals are properly adjusted. Tighten up bolts that hold switches firmly. Then connect electric contact to this switch, and eventually inspect back lights at tail end for any complications. Remember that when you change brake light switch, its effect on setting of brake pedal might be felt.
