The Subaru Legacy Hood Hinge permits the hood of the sedan to pivot smoothly while holding it securely closed to protect the important engine parts against weather and road debris. Fastened to the hood and cowl panel, each Hood Hinge bears the panel's weight and serves as the pivot allowing the driver to raise the hood with ease. The twin arrangement typically employs one Hood Hinge on the left side which works in tandem with another Hood Hinge on the right side to allow the load to be distributed evenly.
