The front bumper cover should be removed with the help of an assistant to prevent damage during removal. Raise the vehicle and securely support it on jackstands. Detach the front part of the fender splash shields from the bumper cover, then remove the screws and clips along the bottom edge of the cover. The number of screws used will vary depending on the year and model. On 2005 and earlier models, remove the
Grille, then remove the mounting fasteners along the top edge and headlight side covers. Apply protective tape to the edges of the front bumper cover where it contacts the headlights. Remove the cover fasteners along the top edge of the grille. Remove the screws and clips securing the front bumper at the wheel well edge. These fasteners are located at the top of the bumper and inside the inner wheel wells. Pull the front bumper down slightly at the wheel arch areas to release it from the hooks on the side spacers. On 2006 and 2007 models, remove the front grille, then remove the bumper cover fasteners. With the help of an assistant, release the attachment hooks and pull the front bumper forward. Hold the bumper forward and disconnect the front fog light connectors. With the help of an assistant, release both sides of the bumper cover from the clips and remove the front bumper cover. Installation is the reverse of removal. For the rear bumper cover, raise the vehicle and securely support it on jackstands. Working under the vehicle, detach the plastic clips and screws securing the lower edge of the bumper cover. Remove the bumper cover screws from the rear wheel openings. Open the trunk or rear liftgate and remove the screws and clips securing the upper edge of the bumper cover. Pull the bumper cover out and away from the vehicle. Installation is the reverse of removal.
