How to replace the cabin air filter to maintain the performance of the HVAC system on Subaru Outback?

The manufacturer suggests that you replace the cabin air filter at the specified intervals to keep your HVAC system working fine. Take out the glove compartment. Press on the clips of the cover of the cabin air filter and then remove it. For 2007 and earlier models, remove the right side support fasteners and support to release the filter. Remove the cabin air filter. Note that an arrow on its front face should be upward if available. Put a new cabin air filter with an arrow up inside. The remaining part of installation is just a back-to-front action as removing was done before.
