How to check the Wheel Bearing on Subaru Outback?

You need to spin each wheel to check if there is noise, rolling resistance and free play, when your vehicle is firmly supported on jackstands. If you notice any perceptible movement, remove the front wheel and test the bearing free play by using a dial indicator. Replace bearing assembly if excess free play exists and bearing noise, too.
