The cylinder head gasket should then be fitted over the locating dowels on the engine block and the cylinder head(s) fitted and loosely fastened with the bolts and washers which should have a thin layer of fresh engine oil on there threads. Tighten the bolts in the sequence and to the torque as indicated and follow the cylinder head bolt tightening procedure to the letter, or use a torque angle meter, better still paint the bolt head white so that one is able to achieve the right angle. Lastly, it is recommended to do the installation in the reverse order of the removal process.
