    How do you remove the exterior door handle, lock cylinder, and latch assembly together for the 2006 Subaru Outback? Posted by Customer

    Disengage the inside handle-to-latch actuating rods from the latch. Working through the access hole on the inside of the door, disengage the outside handle-to-latch rods and the lock cylinder-to-latch rod from the latch assembly. Remove the three latch retaining screws and then remove the latch assembly from the door. Note: On 2007 and earlier models, there is a fourth bolt on the door panel side that must be removed. Installation is the reverse of removal.
