If the intake manifold was removed as one complete unit for cylinder head repair, carefully place the manifold onto the engine for installation and install the mounting bolts, tightening them evenly to the torque. If the intake manifold was disassembled for repair of the tumble generator valve assembly, assemble the three intake manifold pieces (runners and tumble generator) but tighten the bolts lightly. Install the complete intake manifold assembly onto the engine and install the mounting bolts to the cylinder heads, following the correct sequence around the assembly and tightening the bolts to the torque.

To remove the intake manifold, you should first recover the air conditioning system refrigerant if necessary. Then, relieve fuel pressure and disconnect the battery cable. Additionally, remove the engine cover, air filter housing, and intake ducts if needed.
