This procedure is especially risky for home mechanics because of the obscure and often inaccessible fasteners, working in confined and sometimes hard to reach spaces, and a myriad of disconnected electrical connectors that have to be tagged and disconnected first. This job should only be done by the professional DIY persons or those that have attempted such project before. Before removing the item such as the instrument panel, one should ensure that the idea is made on how each of the bits will be removed and where they are sited interrelated to others besides ensuring that the method of fastening them is noted down. Unboltage of both front seats is also possible but it will free extra working space and exclude possible damages. First, it is recommended to unscrew the cable from the negative terminal of the car battery, then to take off the steering wheel and the center console. Subsequently, detach all the dashboard trim panels, instrument cluster, and front pillar trim, with the help of a flat head screw driver to unlatch the clips. Drop down the steering column and then, remove the sill trim/kick panels from both sides and the radio and heater control surround. Remove the required electrical connections; it is advisable to label them if the pairs must be identified somehow. Disconnect any interfering electrical connectors that are inhibiting access to your firewall and pull the instrument panel loose from the firewall, unbolt it and lift it out of the way. When all the connectors are disconnected, then raise the instrument panel and pull it out through the door opening and ,preferably with the help of an assistant. Cleansing is done in the reverse order as to how the elements were added to the system.

Installation is the reverse of removal.
