Is the Instrument Cluster removal procedure suitable for a home mechanic on a Subaru Forester?

Disconnect any interfering electrical connectors that are inhibiting access to your firewall and pull the instrument panel loose from the firewall, unbolt it and lift it out of the way. When all the connectors are disconnected, then raise the instrument panel and pull it out through the door opening and ,preferably with the help of an assistant. Cleansing is done in the reverse order as to how the elements were added to the system.
