Next, use a seal removal tool or screwdriver to carefully pry the oil seal out of the rear of the transaxle. If the oil seal cannot be removed with a screwdriver or prybar, a special oil seal removal tool may be required. Finally, install the new oil seal using a seal driver or a large deep socket as a drift, and lubricate the splines of the output shaft and the outside of the driveshaft sleeve yoke with lightweight grease before reinstalling the driveshaft.
