    Q:
How to replace the camshaft seals on Subaru Forester? Posted by Customer
    A:
Remove the two bolts of the inner timing belt covers to expose the camshaft seals. Remove the camshaft oil seal using the seal puller tool that is needed in order to dislocate the old seal found in the cylinder head. New seal should be fitted by placing it in the cylinder head recess and tapping the seal with a deep socket and hammer until the seal is firmly seated and at the same depth of the original seal. The rest of the process is the reverse of what has been said disassembling the procedure.

    Q:
How to remove the timing bell and camshaft sprocket(s) and access the camshaft seals on Subaru Impreza? Posted by Customer
    A:
The timing bell and camshaft sprocket(s) should be removed. The inner timing belt covers need to be unbolted and removed so that the camshaft seals can be accessed. To put in a new seal at the same place as the old one, note how deep it is from where the cylinder head ends to its face before getting rid of it. Use a skin pulling device in order to take out any remaining sealants fixed on top of the cam heads. In order to make a substitution for this critical part, use a deep socket along with light tapping while placing it inside the cylinder head housing. Pushing through evenly until you get back at which point the original seal was mounted, is how we are supposed to fix it squarely. The rest of installation is the reversal of removal.
