How to Remove and Replace the Clutch Master Cylinder on a Subaru Legacy?

Working under the dashboard, disconnect the master cylinder push rod from the clutch pedal, using a flare-nut wrench disconnect the hydraulic line from the master cylinder and drain the fluid, remove the master cylinder flange mounting nuts, and withdraw the unit from the engine compartment, installation is the reverse of removal.
