    Loosen the cable lock nut and adjuster nut, loosen the rear wheel lug nuts, raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jack stands, remove the rear wheels, remove the front fuel tank covers (STI models only), trace the routing of the rear cables and remove all clamps or clips attaching the cables to the vehicle body or suspension, disengage the cable from the equalizer, peel back the carpet and remove the cable clamp nuts, one is behind the equalizer, disengage the cable from the rear brake assembly, and detach the cable from the brake backing plate.
