Q: How Do I Remove and Replace Fuel Injectors and Fuel Rail on a Subaru Legacy?A: For non-turbo models, remove the air intake duct, resonator, air filter housing, spark plug wires from No.1 and No.3 cylinders, power steering pump and fuel rail protector. Disconnect electrical connectors from fuel injectors and vacuum hose from fuel pressure regulator. Disconnect fuel supply and return hoses from fuel rail. Remove fuel rail and injectors as a single assembly. Replace old O-rings on each injector with new ones. Reinstall fuel rail and injectors. For the left fuel rail, remove bolts securing windshield washer fluid reservoir, disconnect spark plug wires for No.2 and No.4 cylinders, PCV hose, fuel rail protector(s), and injector harness. Replace injector O-rings. For turbo models, relieve fuel system pressure, remove engine cover, disconnect cable from negative battery terminal, air intake duct, engine coolant reservoir, and electrical connector from fuel injector. Replace old injector O-ring with a new one.
